The CrossFit Open has officially wrapped up, and what a few weeks it’s been.
Here at Aliso CrossFit, we saw it all: Early mornings, Saturday throw-downs, first-time Open athletes, and people pushing past limits they didn’t think were possible. This is what makes ACF so special. But now that it’s over, the big question is:
“What comes next?”
Let’s break it down.
What Comes After the CrossFit Open?
The Open is just Stage 1 of the CrossFit Games season. From here, the season continues for both competitive athletes and everyday members.
Stage 2: Quarterfinals (March 26–30)
Quarterfinals are the second stage of the CrossFit Games season.
- The top 25% of athletes from the Open qualify
- There will be 4 workouts completed over a 5-day period
- Scores are submitted online

👉 Your season isn’t over.
You move on to the Community Cup.
What Is the Community Cup?

- Your level is based on your Open leaderboard percentile
There are 10 total levels:
- Levels 9–10: Pro
- Levels 7–8: Advanced
- Levels 5–6: Intermediate
- Levels 3–4: Novice
- Levels 1–2: Rookie
55+ Division Adjustments:
- Advanced: Level 10
- Intermediate: Levels 8–9
- Novice: Levels 6–7
- Rookie: Levels 1–5
👉 You can find your level on your athlete dashboard.
What to Expect
There will be three workouts in the Community Cup.
Each workout is:
- Tailored to your level
- Designed to challenge you based on what you’ve been working on since the Open
- Built to keep you progressing, not overwhelm you
This is what makes it so powerful.
You’re not competing against the fittest person in the gym…
You’re competing with people just like you.
